1 large round sunflower bread loaf
1 lb. boar's head oven gold turkey breast
1/2 lb boar's head cream havarti
1/2 red onion thinly sliced and halved
1 red bell pepper sliced thin and halved
6 slices of bacon , cooked and crumbled
Balsamic Vinaigrette
1/2 c balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic minced
crushed red pepper to taste
1/2 cup olvie oil
Combine vinegar,soy sauce, honey, garlic and red pepper flakes in blender, process. Then with motor running add olive oil and process till smooth.
Next cut sunflower loaf in half. Hollow out some of the bread making a cradle
then drizzle several tablespoons of vinagrette over top and bottom of bread.
Layer bottom of bread with several slices of turkey, salt and pepper. Sprinkle with a handful of bacon,onion and red pepper. Top with cheese. Repeat layers.
Cover with bread top and wrap tightly in saran wrap. Chill overnight in the frig.
To serve: cut into eigths and pass with remaining vinagrette for dipping.
